It's my Birthday weekend and for my birthday I asked my sister to find me a new friend or two that I can write. And guess what? You win! You're my birthday present!
The reason I'm not able to go meet some new birthday presents of my own is because I'm in a federal prison (medium security). But I am not your average outlaw: I don't have any tattoos, I've never been drunk or high in my life, I've never been physically violent, I came from a loving home and I have a college education. I'm a guy with a near genius level IQ who thought he could live life like an action packed crime movie.
That being said, I was striving to live my life to the fullest; my goal was to have at least one new life experience every week. I've skydived in Minnesota (my hometown), jumped off the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, snorkeled a Mayan Riviera underground river, hot air ballooned over Lake Tahoe, ziplined in Costa Maya, body surfed in Maui, parasailed in Jamaica, kayaked in Belize. I love the water - I'm happiest when wet!
I've been a professional gambler, pilot, screenwriter, film producer, computer programmer and adventure seeker. This month my first novel was published and I have other completed novels in the works to be published this year. Before my incarceration two short films I wrote were produced and shown at film festivals.
I'm an extraordinary man in search of extraordinary people. I desire friendship with an active lady who takes care of herself, who has goals and aspirations and is striving to live not merely exist. Bonus points if you've read "The Four Agreements," "The Invitation," or "Desiderata."
