- There once was a boy who grew up with great expectations, not realizing until a disagreeably late hour that they didn't belong to him.
My shoes are well-worn and have trod many paths, yet I keep walking because I have not yet found that place that truly fulfills me. For a long time I labored under the expectations of others, but I strive now to honor and respect who I am in my heart. I have always harbored a deep feeling that there is purpose to my life, and I embrace the journey, wherever it might lead. My deepest hope is to find the right someone to share that journey with, and who will kick off her shoes alongside me once we arrive.
I am kind, honest and caring, and value the same qualities in others. I often come off as being very serious, but I assure you I can be downright goofy at times. I love to laugh, but even moreso to bring a smile, and I will go a long way for that smile. I value my son above all, and cherish my time with him. I am patient and understanding, difficult to anger (unless I've been driving around the block attempting to park the car for more than 15 minutes), and if I am at all intolerant, it is of intolerance, and of those who are disrespectful to others.
I know the value of life, i lost someone very important to me once so i know the pain and sadness that is left behind when this happens.
I am intelligent, passionate, and sometimes obsessive about pursuing new interests and figuring things out. I strive to learn something from all of my experiences, especially my mistakes.
I'd like to meet someone with confidence and a great sense of humor, who can laugh at herself and enjoy life. Someone honest with herself and others and in touch with her emotions and able to express them. Someone with whom I can engage intellectually, spar wits, and share adventures. A beautiful person - kind, caring, and considerate of others. Someone who values her health, fitness and eats well. Above all, someone who will challenge me, keep me on my toes, tolerate the occassional serenade, and with whom I can fall more in love with each passing day.
