Description
Hiya! I'm an incoming university student in the state of Indiana (just finished high-school). I love to read, which fuels my large reservoir of imagination (my favorite book series are the Lord of the Rings series, and Harry Potter). Something that has always interested me was foreign languages and cultures, and studying about the history of the world. I don't really know any languages fluently, but I used to be quite proficient in Latin and Ancient Greek, and I can write in Cyrillic and Nordic runes; currently, I am learning Japanese. So, that last bit helps me to transition to a different topic, my goals and ambitions. After university I will be going to live in Japan; most likely I will be teaching English at first, but I hope to get a more "normal" job later on. I've always loved Japanese history and culture; I enjoy anime, but Japanese history and traditions really are the main reasons I want to live in Japan. Basically, I'm on this site to gain some Japanese friends. I know that it is hard to get good friendships online, but I've done it in the past and I know that good things can be had from them. I'm not looking for love or anything like that, but I'd like to gain a deeper connection anybody that wishes to be my penpal/internet-buddy (whatever you want to call it!). I'm open to do a language exchange, but be warned, my Japanese is very basic, and I don't know much. If you aren't Japanese, I still might be interested in getting to know you, but I might not message you right away (and I want to apologize right now for that). Well, I hope you decide to message me! I'd really appreciate it, but I understand if you pass me over. I wish you well! よろしくお願いします!
