DeanO1's description

Greetings, I am seeking to correspond with anyone anywhere in the world who may enjoy corresponding with me. Here is a little information about myself to aid you determining whether or not you may like to correspond. I am a 53 year old caucasian male, 5'10" tall, mono-liguistic (english-only), have blue eyes and have been incarcerated since April 29th, 1991. Prior to my incarceration I worked, usually at very unsatisfying jobs for the sake of others, tried to fit in where I didn't really want to be or belong, and tried to do what society required of me with little success. Since my incarceration, employment options are even more unsatisfying, but I work them to support myself to the greatest degree I can, have no desire whatsoever to fit in, and have absolutely no interest in what society requires of me, or how society evaluates me. Before my arrest I enjoyed reading, learning, enjoying outdoor activities and nature (usually alone or with my dog), random road trips via car or motorcycle, having many mutually satisfying encounters with many random women and climbing things. Since my arrest, for fun, in my free time (no pun intended) I read, learn, develop business plans, design game systems, and engineer theoretical solutions to the causes of societal "problems". For most of my pre-incarceration life I've been kind of a loner. Not because I wanted to be but because I didn't really fit well within mainstream society or with the other people occupying that society. As a result, books became my best friends, most inspirational teachers and most valued treasures. Since my incarceration, I've become even more of a loner, by choice, since I have no desire to fit in here at all. Despite how easy it would be to talk tough, act stupid, and regurgitate whatever hypocritical, fear inspired mindless rhetoric is trending at the time, this place just isn't for me. I'm in prison but not of prison. Besides, mindless, unquestioning conformity really isn't for me regardless of where it occurs. Books are still my friends, teachers, and treasures. People that have and continue to inspire me are: maverick innovators, skilled teachers, dedicated mothers, courageous whistle blowers (not self-serving informants), true healers, renegade trailblazers, resilient survivors, loyal friends, and anyone who is kind enough to correspond with me. Anyway, if you want to converse, please write to me via a JPay media account: Dean Gaines #095748 www.JPay.com
