- Hello! I'm an eternal optimist by nature, contemplative and serious yet humorous and a man of principles. I'm totally passionate about travelling and enjoy exchanging travel stories and experiences. I enjoy visiting UNESCO heritage sites, places and buildings of historical importance and beautiful landscapes. Since 1988 I've backpacked multiple times to the USA, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia.
My other hobbies include reading books on non-fiction, travel, current affairs, geo-politics, history, aviation and journals from National Geographic piques my interest too. My music tastes leans towards contemporary pop. In my spare time I build model ships and planes. I'm also competitive in veterans track & field athletics.
