- I don't quite know what to say....I keep wanting to describe myself physically, lol but then I think "it's a pen pal"....lol. Anyway, it would be easier. I grew up and lived my whole life in Michigan. I love nature. I love going outdoors and yes, camping! I love it. I love traveling but I can't anymore due to my job :(. I used to be a free spirit, now I sit behind a desk, lol. So my next best thing is traveling via talking to and getting to know folks I meet online. I now live in the plains of Northern Texas, where you can watch your dog run away for days...maybe weeks lol jk. What I mean to say is: It's flat here....and no trees...a lot of cows...bad drivers, etc lol
Anyway, I've had pen pals that I've met in real life, two became very close friends and one is like a sister so it's been a very good experience for me. I enjoy meeting people and talking/writing to them. I'm a social worker (...wouldn't you know it...) and I love that aspect of the job. Hate the hours though lol, and the pay but the retirement I hear might make it all worth it someday... Maybe. I have my doubts.
So when I don't work nonstop I enjoy swimming, reading (love fantasy sword and sorcery), movies, classic rock and baking (*sourdough bread especially). Not in that order.
I'm a realist. I'm down to earth and have been both wild and crazy and very reserved so I've done some crazy chit and some homey stuff too like making lace, crochet, sewing, raising 4 kids, etc. I also enjoy shooting and knife throwing, I've done carpentry (3 years full time), auto mechanics....I just kinda done all kinds of stuff lol whatever interests me. I'd like to reenact someday. I love sewing period costumes.
Im just looking for someone who is fun and interesting to talk to.
Someone from the Dallas area would be fun so there's the possibility to meet someday and also I like the UK...Scotland mainly but anywhere as long as you're interesting and can write a decent letter... Lol I'll try to return the favor.
