- Born in the French province of Quebec, I live a rather happy exile in Vancouver and since day one, grew solid roots in this wonderful part of Canada. At times, I still wonder what deserved me this luck (although I have an idea) as I very much appreciate the "energy" of the West Coast. It seems the perfect place to cultivate the alternate values which I consider mine: the values espoused by movements such as "Slow Food" or "Slow Life".
If I say that I proudly resist owning a cell phone, and have not had a TV in decades, it may give a better idea of my lifestyle. If you take a look at the German painter Spitzweg's Dere Arme Poet, it pretty much describes what I aspire to.... kind of.
What does move me are words... written or heard... the right ones conveying stimulating ideas or emotions, inviting discovery or honing of points of view. Thus my registering to this website hoping to find people who have a similar frequency.
