- I enjoy learning about people, where they live and what kind of they do, or did, if you're retired. Researching is a hobby. I write short stories about Canadian towns and cities. They're not violent, and most have endings where guilty people are caught. I retired from teaching college 4 years ago, after 15 years. I'm proud to be a Canadian. My ancestors fled here from the States in the 1700s to avoid being killed and having their their home and belongings burned. They were pro British and Americans wanted nothing to do with England.
